Smile please!

This alligator is one of the many we've seen in the wild in the last few days. This may not seem surprising until you realise that that were becoming extinct around 1950 due to poaching for handbags. Now there are lots of them, you can even get "gator bites" but I didn't fancy them- I'll stick to chicken nuggets!
We went to Shark valley this morning and saw the above plus several of his friends along with a great young Cooper's hawk who kept calling for food.
We then went on an airboat ride at Miccosukee Indian Village- the occasional cold water shower was most welcome as it was even warmer than yesterday-90+ degrees F and we thought it would be cooler than last year.
