Jozef Pécsi, Budapest.
In a street by the river Danube a forgotten photographer's plaque. Jozef Pécsi ran a studio in downtown Budapest where some of Hungary's finest pre-war photographer's trained and worked before leaving Hungary. These included Eva Besnyö who has also never received the attention she deserved. After a lot of searching I found the house today in Dorottya út. Judging from the style/font used here I think it may have been erected during Socialist times but I am open to correction on this.
