On or off?

Found out yesterday when we were at my folks that leaving the oven on after you've finished cooking is genetic. Which is kind of a relief as it means that Carl can't be cross with me about it anymore. I did detect a slight eye-roll though.

Am finding it all a little chaotic and bitty at the moment, probably a combination of all these holidays, short weeks, no childcare and a workload that doesn't match. Am actually looking forward to a good solid 7 week last half-term of school to get into some sort of rhythm and get some stuff done before the long summer holidays.

On the plus side the pace of life at the moment means it's really easy for me to find my off switch. Which sadly for the rest of my insomniac-burdened family appears not to be genetic.
