You guessed it! The river again!
Early start to the day today. I prepped and painted walls, cooked breakfast, cleaned the kitchen - all before 7:30 am. Our carpenter was coming by to tear out old shelving in my existing pantry, and to start building a new pantry unit for canned goods. So, I need to prep and paint the walls where the new unit is going. And I needed to get everything done in the kitchen before he came so that he had the room he needed to work.
I then spent the rest of the morning and afternoon working on some documents that J needed for his mother's trust. I find it fascinating how people change when they find out they will inherit money. J is the trustee of his mother's trust. Since she passed away, he has been working to find out what all of her assets were worth, and to get those assets liquidated. When J's sister found out the approximate worth of the trust, all of a sudden she is pressuring him to get everything settled in a big hurry so that she can have her share of the money. Even though he keeps telling her that it will take a year or more to get things settled, she just keeps pushing and pushing and pushing him. I love my sister-in-law, but her attitude is getting a little out of hand.
Sorry for my little diatribe there.
The good news is that Iggins seems to be doing better. He still has his heart issue, but he isn't exhibiting the difficulty breathing like he was last week. He's our "Timex" dog - he takes a 'lickin and keeps on 'tickin!
It took this photo late this afternoon. The winds had died down a bit, but a storm was moving in. This photo is a bit deceiving because just out of sight behind the trees, the storm clouds were moving in. The forecast is for snow in the mountains and possibly down as far as the foothills. It certainly has gotten cold again.
I hope your Monday was great, and that your Tuesday is even better!
