A slice of Lesley's life

The before shot

This is the pre ghyll scrambling shot. Unfortunately there was no post shot as the kids were all so frozen solid we had to focus on getting them dried and thawed and into warm clothes as quickly as possible. And very sadly there were no mid scramble photos for the lack of a waterproof camera. So you'll just have to take my word for how much fun it was. And how very proud I particularly was of Anna who did all sorts of things that she was so very scared of. Even after her hands were bright red with cold and had lost all feeling.

And should you ever find yourself in the Lake District with a stinking hangover and 4 hours sleep I can highly recommend it as a hangover cure.

Reward was a very fine Sunday roast lunch and delicious puddings in a local pub and an afternoon of papers on the sofa back home. The afternoon slipped into the evening and a pasta supper, some more wine and a great deal more chat.

I think the kids had a great day too but mainly on the basis that after the ghyll scrambling we didn't see them for more than 5 minutes and only ever in a pack of 7.
