Wyrd Sisters’ Challenge; Maya

I figure I may have to factor in a trip to Central America because all uncle wiki seems to know about Maya is ….. Mayan. Wyrd Sister No. 1 says it means ‘illusion’. I furnish uncle wiki with more info and he comes back with ‘more correctly - delusion..’. I get it now. The Wyrd Sisters are under the illusion they’ve set a straightforward challenge, when it is in fact, a delusion.

Like many other folk on this sunny Bank Holiday, we’ve been busy in the garden most of the day. On a break I notice that when the sun is overhead a fern in our …. fern part on the garden (sum total = 2) is back lit to such an extent that it reminds me of our trip to visit Mollymay in Australia last year.

The thing that struck me most about Australia was the light. Taking photos in the day time was often difficult because the contrast was so high. There’s a photo here, in which I used my camera’s built in HDR effect to try and give an impression of what it was like in a Eucalyptus grove.

If it works then I have created the illusion of being down under. If it fails then I am delusional. Either way - it’s Maya
