Feeling saucy

It's funny how our thinking changes our feelings about the weather. We enjoyed a walk in the rain this morning. I got to wear my Eddie Bauer hat which has a wide brim and the sound of raindrops hitting has the same comforting feeling as being inside a tent and listening to the rain on the canvas.

By the time we got back we were soaked. Mostly that was rain dripping of our coats and soaking our jeans. That cold, clammy feeling we are all familiar with. So instead of being a pleasure the rain had become unpleasant.

Then, my thinking changed, and with it my feelings (you are always feeling your thinking after all) and the rain was a perfect excuse to light the fire and cosy up. The pasta sauce in the blip is another comfort that goes with sheltering from "bad" weather, and is a pleasure to be savoured.
