It begins.....

The renovation project took it's first faltering steps today... the wood panels that adorned three quarters of one wall were pulled off to reveal the most horrendous black glue! - Wouldn't look out of place in the Tate modern, but it isn't staying here!. We've tried scraping, steaming and sanding but nothing would budge it, so unexpected expense number one will be to get the wall re-skimmed!

Spent the rest of the day stripping wallpaper off also went out and bought some new lounge furniture - now have till valentines day to sort out the rest of the decorating and carpeting before it is delivered.
