My cousin, who doesn't like being photographed. Lovely evening with her yesterday. She cooked a great meal as usual (pan fried salmon) and we stayed up talking till late, about our family mainly, my visit to Dermot etc. Always lovely to sit at that table overlooking the Liffey, the grey evening aging slowly, gulls on the khaki water, occasional swans, and, a little above them the various lives on the street below walking, staggering, sauntering, the taxis, ambulances, busses... a whole city flowing past in gushes and drips and drabs.

And we had a long lazy day this morning, too much coffee and eventually a very late brunch in a cafe around the corner (great omelette) and glass of Pinot Grigio.
