Maywood

One of the more famous Bridgewater residents is Mr. Peter May. He is a financier who once owned the Snapple beverage brand (he has since sold it to Pepsi), and amongst other things is Vice Chairman and a director of Wendy's/Arby's Group, Inc.

His estate, named Maywood, sits on a thousand manicured acres at the top of a hill with gorgeous views in every direction. The Georgian style mansion has a private golf course, vineyards, a tennis court, pool, and the most amazing greenhouse complex. Every July 4th, the Mays throw a big party for their nearest and dearest friends which culminates in a grand fireworks display staged by the famous New York pyrotechnics firm Grucci. We "commoners" are allowed to watch the fun from a distance. Maybe some day we'll get an invitation?
