Cows and Cow Parsley
A large dairy herd of Holstein Friesians enjoying the grazing after milking.
We had twin calves born from a heifer this morning. T and B had just finished calving one and had made sure it was breathing properly when they looked round and there were another pair of hooves appearing from under the tail of the mother!
The second calf was smaller and full of gunge so the men held it upside down and slapped it to empty the stuff out and start it breathing - it was alive! After a couple of hours they brought mother and the twins into the barn. They were tube fed with colostrum first to get them going. The larger is now up and sucking the mother.
