Unknown flower

I was first given a clump of these flowers about 20 years ago. I now have them in several places in the garden. They give good ground cover and flower prolifically through the summer. The flowers open in full sun and close in shade, and when touched the plant gives off a strong odour that is a little like spearmint. They like an open position and do not thrive in a shady spot. Does anyone know what they are?
