Iris

This magnificent flower is displaying in one of the gardens I pass on the way home from work. Having been away in Nepal for a week, it is surprising how quickly nature has moved on at home: the bare trees have erupted with glorious foliage, the magnolias have finished blossoming, and the sunshine has changed to rain and cooler weather. I missed the luscious greenness of Wales in Nepal, and perhaps it is not really cooler, but just that I had started to get used to the heat of Kathmandu.
