Wistaria outdoing herself - so blowsy!

Sun, sun, sun, all day so Rosemary drove me up to the Sharpness Canal where we first explored Frampton village which boasts the longest village green in the country in which there are 3 fair sized village ponds. One of the ponds was reserved for children under 8 (from Frampton families) to fish in - closed season March to June - how brilliant is that? We each had a massive home cooked pie in the pub and went in search of the boat graves at Purton - huge concrete barges and ships were beached to help prevent erosion from the river Severn. Then off to Sharpness proper where we found the crane graves too - huge, rusting and multi-coloured, they are gradually being covered by Travellers Joy and bramble.

More pics and info on the wrecks if you have time
