The NOT Eensy-Weensy Spider

My friends and I went to a floating market on the outskirts of Bangkok today. After a boat ride across the river and a motorcycle taxi ride through a quiet, tree filled neighborhood, we arrived at the market. While waiting for a few other people, one friend excitedly pointed into the trees. At first most of us looked past our eight-legged subject in to the trees beyond. But soon our focus adjusted to see this colorful creature.

A friend taught me how to sing the Eensy-Weensy Spider song in Thai yesterday. It follows the same tune as the English version and the same idea, but there are a few changes like the spider climbs up to the roof instead of just "up the water spout." At about the length of my palm, this spider was anything but eensy-weensy.
