Spring in New Lanark

I went to meet L to look round the hotel before AnnieBScotland's and John's wedding tomorrow.
Although the blue sky was just fighting through the clouds, New Lanark looked so lovely with the fresh green leaves contrasting with the noble old stone mill buildings.
The genuine affection from L and the other staff is so touching but it was hard to think that only a year ago, Annie was a physical presence here, but it is comforting to know how much they want her big day to go well.

The light wasn't great yet, so I give you this simple window box to show you the signs of renewal.
Tomorrow Annie and John will be surrounded by family and friends - I know they will feel the love for this brave and generous couple.
It will be a privilege to be part of that special occasion.
