Diary of an Edinburgher

Plan A

Yes, looks like it's back to Millie Number 1, even though she probably won't be salt and pepper. Most puppies are dark to begin with anyway...

We were in a tizz last night! The Aberdeen breeder sent photos. The Borders breeder hasn't sent any recent ones yet (problem with his computer) but I suspect they'll be the same. But we have a choice of markings with Millie No 1, whereas Millie No 2 is the last one left of the litter. Also, Millie No 1 is nearer.

Another consideration is that we're not quite ready for this weekend - we haven't checked out a vet yet. Besides, JR has reports to do in the next couple of weeks, and is afraid that a puppy will be an impossible distraction.

JR has reminded me of a job that will need doing before Millie arrives and takes up residence in the kitchen - painting over the Big Thistle wallpaper.

Another dreich day. I've been waiting in for a delivery. Not that I wanted to go out in the mizzle anyway. I've been working on my book. My Moroccan photo book, that is. It's 100 pages, and I just plopped the photos in last week, but now I'm going through cropping and tweaking where needed. I must say, the day passes nicely with Radio 4 on (talk/interviews/plays - no shouting DJs, grating music, inane chit chat or idiotic phone ins).

I looked out the window at the abandoned outdoor furniture. I thought the way the water was repelled on the surface very rather quite fairly interesting. Bashed it about a bit in Snapseed. Blip.

I think I've seen just about every You Tube video on how to train your dog....
