Anyone for a banana?

Someone had left these bananas on the parapet of a bridge I pass on the way into the village.

This little bridge over the burn on the West Highland Way is a popular resting-place for walkers, partly because it's the first suitable place to sit and rest after a long stretch of walking, as well as a convenient point at which to check the map. I often get asked for directions at this point, as walkers have the choice of crossing a field or staying on the road to reach Drymen.

I can only guess that leaving the bananas was an oversight, perhaps while rearranging a rucksack before continuing the trek, and if so can imagine some disgruntlement further down the line!

I hope somebody made good use of them, but it wisnae me, honest, officer ;-)
