Glasgow rooftops

It was an abortive trip into Glasgow in that the reason for the journey was to exchange a gift in House of Fraser, but because the gift receipt had expired yesterday I wasn't allowed to.

However, I ended up having a morning of culture instead, visiting the Gallery of Modern Art, which had some interesting exhibitions - the one of Niki de Sainte Phalle's brightly-coloured sculptures in particular - and then The Lighthouse, a Charles Rennie Mackintosh-designed building, which is now a centre for design and architecture.

I sprinted dragged myself up the hundreds of steps of the spiral staircase to the top of the building to take a blip of the Glasgow cityscape. It was such a beautiful sunny day that I knew the views from the top would be magnificent... and they were!
