Hotline to Santa

If I could, I would say a big big thankyou!

This is the first Christmas that Corin, James and I have all woken up in the same house together and been able to share the joy of Christmas morning at our own pace. The past 3 Christmases have involved a 40 mile drive to pick James up from his Dad's house, where he has stayed on Christmas eve. This year, James got what HE wanted and was able to stay here.

After a lot of visiting yesterday, and a lovely evening spent with my Dad and Ann, then my Nana, Aunty and Uncle and my cousins (Brucey - you look fantastic, Tom - the biblical look suits you - don't let anyone tell you otherwise, Vik - LMAO is not Lame-o!!! I love you all to bits!), we got home around 10.30pm, ready for me to whip up a fresh batch of mince pies for Santa (Well, 11 for us, 1 for santa, seemed fair!). James took himself off to bed - "I'd best go to bed otherwise Santa won't come". I love my boy so much.

We got up this morning and pottered around for a while, waiting for Corin to get himself dressed and woken up. James displayed the patience of a saint because of his determination that he wanted us all to be together when we opened our presents. Cats don't need presents - they LOVE wrapping paper!

We HAVE had wonderful Christmases before now, but there's nothing quite like being in your own home, knowing its OK to still be wearing your pyjamas at 3.50 in the afternoon, watching the people who you love the most in the world smile so much that you worry that their faces might break. The best present I could have got is the day that I have had so far today.

So thanks to family for all of the presents that you sent or gave yesterday. They are very much appreciated - we need to wait for the shops to open to get some baking powder for the rocket Rose!. Corin has st up his Scalextric, we've had our Christmas dinner, and James and I are about to rock out on Lego Rock band on the XBox360 with the guitar and drums (I'm on drums!)

So, to everyone in blipland, a very happy Christmas from me, James and Corin. If you've had as nice a day as we have, then you should be feeling pretty content.

1 year ago - A proposal that I couldn't say no to!
