Mom, Doing Her Job!

This little baby hummingbird just will not fly away. He gets out of his twig nest, but he stays within inches and feet of it. Then he'll fly back to the nest and snuggle back in and then his mom arrives.

Today she wasn't thrilled that he was on the nail above the nest, instead of in the nest. It didn't matter, she still made sure he was fed.

Even though we are concerned that he doesn't fly away, we are enjoying and have been enjoying this little bird. His sibling flew away Sunday afternoon.
