Smiling....
It was lovely to wander my garden with a cuppa in hand, feel the sun upon my back, listening to a couple of visiting fantails, a grey warbler and blackbirds. The air was brisk and it was cold in the shade, a chilly breeze rustled the leaves of my native trees and just for today I wished these leaves were the colours of autumn instead of shades of green.
Spring is appearing, Cinnamon Cindy's buds are thickening, daffodils are breaking the ground and a yellow jasmine has buds and flowers - it is most unusual and far too early.
My little gazania's who favour the heat and dry soil are struggling under the wet conditions, their tiny roots are sodden and their foliage limp and brown. I will replace them when spring really does arrive.
Today I had the pleasure of meeting with fellow blipper fernridge, a life in photos. We have been planning this meeting for, I hate to say it - FOUR years!! Fernridge started blip just a couple of months ahead of me, we live in the same area and yet had never met. Gosh it was great to meet up today, thanks so much - I thoroughly enjoyed our time together :))
So today I'm smiling along with these little chrysanthemums enjoying the sunlight.
Happy Thursday blippers
