Get Your Towels Ready ... It's about to go down
Today was mostly spent on a Plane.
Not one plane,but many planes.
The first two were exciting, but the third had become tedious and the constant inquiry by Customs officials and immigration officials was getting monotonous.
Glasgow airport was lovely. Quiet, not too many people around.
Reykjavik was beautiful. Flat, with Volcanos, and the most clean smelling air despite it being an airport. It was also full of people, lots and lots of people, all nationalities.
Toronto was hideous.
We landed. We sat on the runway for nearly an hour, while they "waited for a gate". We were rushed through Immigration... then pointed in the direction of the "purple line which will take you to connections". Connections was hard to find.... It meant two escalators, a lift and a train. And then to be faced with 48 counters and 4 attendants, a crying woman... a immigration official who would not crack a smile... a full body scan ... a confiscation of water... a body poke (after the body scan).
Thank god the light was delayed or we would have missed it for sure.
So we landed in Raleigh, and taxi'd to the hotel. American Service in that particular hotel at that particular time of time was something to be hold. Suffice to say, we wont back.
Our body clocks are all to hell. travelling for 13 hours, and going to bed at what we felt was 5 am in the morning, but was really midnight, and we still woke up at 830 home time, - and it was only 3 am there. Waaaaaaaaaa
So now we are up... and off to surprise the Boy!
