CARDIOCRINUM : SEED PODS !

O. K. I know it's autumn, the colours are glorious, the mountains look divine & the lake is shimmering in the sun, BUT I am a gardener & I did warn you at the beginning ! This wonderful Himalayan Lily takes 7 years to flower from seed & then dies, so I want to record it in my journal. Couldn't show you the flower because it was pre blip days in November. The white flowers are trumpet shape & strongly scented. It is growing well above the eaves !

I know I've been told never put your subject directly in the middle but it was quite difficult to photograph, with a wall on one side & a tree hard up on the other. To heck with the experts !

The blue & white plate is one Peter brought me home from China. It has been hanging there for at least 15 years. I love it.
