Towards la Pena

This tree is near the Mairie where I had to go for a meeting this morning. The mountain behind rises opposite our house and contains the iron mines I pictured yesterday. The meeting went well. The new Mayor and his adjoints were positive about quickly bringing the building up to compliance with regulations. We discussed the future shared use of the building which now belongs to the Commune. It seems that they do have plans for its use as monies become available and do not just intend to mothball it. This was all good news. I just had time to prepare a lesson for the French class this afternoon and to write a letter of thanks to the Mayor. It is a quick turn around before badminton. Everything seems to have been done on the hoof today!
