Up Close and Personal

Another walkabout in Oceanside. It looks like I'll be spending more time around here, because my husband has rented a slip for his sailboat at the marina. It isn't a live aboard slip, so you can only spend 3 nights per week maximum sleeping on the boat. As summer approaches, I look forward to many late afternoon sunset cruises. Maybe I'll finally get a great dolphin photo.

This character is always hanging around the pier, posing for photographs. It doesn't take any great skill to capture him--you just have to wait your turn with all the other photographers. There was something so crisp and detailed about his image against the backdrop of the shoreline that made me choose this photo for today.
