Azalea

Our soil has the wrong pH level to grow Azaleas in the ground, so this one is in a pot just by the front door. It always manages to come into flower just in time before the red tulips finish and together they add a great splash of colour to the new emerging foliage.

Today's gardening tip. Azaleas form their buds for the following year during the summer of the current year. It is really important to keep them well watered during the summer, rather than thinking it doesn't matter since their flowers have passed. Especially important for pot plants.
