Morning Light

One of the things I like best about being retired is not having to rush out the door early in the morning. Instead I can enjoy a leisurely cup of coffee and bask in the light that comes through these windows facing east. (By the way, we do have a coffee table, but it has been removed from this area so our one-year old grandson does not injure himself on it.)

A couple of years ago the area behind us was undeveloped. But as you can see through the windows, now there are huge houses in our "back yard". Initially it felt as though we had been invaded. But we're used to it now and there is the opportunity to get to know more neighbors.
