Mist rolling in
As we drove to Culbokie I noticed the mist hanging above the ploughed field. It was gently wafting along the surface and looked quite eerie.
I also spotted another Roe deer in a field and managed to get a photo as it stood and watched us before 'legging it' across the field.
We went for a lovely walk in Culbokie woods and down to Loch Culbokie where two mallard ducks were swimming around. The trees were full of bird song, plenty of wrens, great tits and chaffinch. Another bird was making a strange call which we think was a great spotted woodpecker as we heard hammering from the direction it flew off to but did nt get a good view. I'm sure there were probably lots of red squirrels watching us as we saw evidence that they were there.
We explored a few more roads that we had nt been down before and found places to walk and explore.
