Galle-Mirissa

It was up early to hit the road on our super fast 110cc Honda scooter.!!!We were doing a short drive from Galle to Mirissa where we want to book a trip to see blue whales, sperm whales and dolphins for the next day. This was done relatively easy and after a bit of hagglin we were booked in for 6.30am the following day.

Afterwards we found a nice guesthouse for us to sleep for £15. The guesthouse also offered some authentic Sri Lankan cooking classes that sounded fun, so we booked ourselves in.The woman who ran the classes was heavily pregnant and so all lessons were outside on the grass as she couldn't move around the kitchen. She owned a restaurant that was shut until she gave birth so she really knew what she was talking about. She taught us how to make: tomato curry, coconut salad, pumpkin curry, dhal, green bean curry and pineapple chutney. What a feast it was afterwards and it tasted amazing thanks to her expertise.

We were completely full so we went a walk along the beach and shared a beer before heading back for an early night. Quality day.
