Glass Class...

Signed up for a Glass Fusion class my friend Kathleen was teaching. I have chosen to depict a pictograph of an ancient Anazazi bison drawing. I "collect" pictographs and petroglyphs as I travel throughout Indian country in the US. This bison drawing is in New Mexico. I am replicating it in fused glass. This is the beginning where I've built a deep red glass dam to hold the frit (ground glass) that I choose. So far tthe bison outline is finished and I've added deep red on the hump and heart and an orangey-red on the rump. I filled in the surrounding area after this photo. We'll see the result of this one and 2 others when they come out of the kiln on Tuesday night. was taken.
