Will’s Weekend II

The town was thronging today, full of visitors, and residents, out to celebrate the 450th birthday of Bill Shakespeare.

There was the dignitaries’ parade, the people’s parade, music, dancing, a giant birthday cake and an even larger Lady Godiva. I took some photos then we retreated through the crowds for a coffee at Nero.

After lunch we met Emma and Andy for a drink at The Encore followed by a visit to Nash House, one of the Birthplace Trusts’ properties which were giving free entry to local residents.
