I walked around Hollingworth Lake today, where in a stiff breeze some Mirror class dinghies were racing. I passed a new butcher's business.

I was listening to an audio book "The War That Ended Peace" by Margaret MacMillan, a fascinating account of the thirty years of events that led to the outbreak of World War One.

On my way home I turned a corner and encountered this gruesome sight.
