Madness!

Well I made it! Got to the BBC studio in Obum. What a creepy place! Had to collect the key from another location, then open this creaky wooden door, go up a flight of equally creepy dusty stairs. There wasn't another living soul in the building it fair freaked me out!
Found the broomcupboard studio and set about fiddling with switches etc to get the thing going. Wasn't rocket science as there were only two buttons that really mattered. Sat down and finally finished the damn book. 453 pages of rubbish! A solid heavy book, could have knocked someone out with it!
Finally we got the three way link going and set about recording the programme. Took about 45 mins. I think by the end of the session it was abundantly clear that neither of us liked the blessed book!
We both preferred No Great Mischief by Alistair MacLeod who sadly died on Easter Sunday past. His book was fantastic and I urge you to read it. He also wrote Island Collected stories which is a real masterpiece of stories. As for this one... hmmmmm
