More snow
Finally, I thought this morning, the ice is melting and there is a route to the tube station that doesn't involve heart-stopping slips and slides on the ice rink that was a pavement. How wrong I was! I got into work alright, moved desks, waited in a post office queue that actually started outside (why do we leave things to the last minute?) and had lunch with a colleague. And then it started to snow again. And by 5pm there was a blanket of snow on the ground. I took this photo from the bus stop. It was snowing at the time but you can't see it with this camera. I ended up getting a cab to the station with some people from work as the bus didn't materialise.
I met G and he managed to coax me across the ice to get home. I really have become a little panicky about it now.
It seems to have taken ages for the house to warm up. I sat on the sofa with a hot water bottle and my Dominos pizza (which took an hour and a half to get here). Warming up now. Wearing two jumpers helps!
If you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it. If you don't ask, the answer is always no. If you don't step forward, you're always in the same place. Nora Roberts
