Nine lessons and carols
After a busy evening entertaining Sunday was a bit flat. We had tickets to see 'Nine lessons and carols for godless people' at the Hammersmith Apollo but it is over an hour away and the weather outside was frightful! But we braved the cold to see the great and the good of science and comedy. And it really was a who's who of Science. Everyone who's being sued for libel was there! Simon Singh, Ben Goldacre along with Brian Cox and of course Richard Dawkins (pictured). It's becoming cool to be clever, who'd have thought it!
There were also excellent comedy performances, my favourites being Al Murray, Dara O'Briain, Chris Addison, Mark Steele and Shappi Khorsandi. All very ably put together and compered by Robin Ince. Definitely worth venturing out for. It was filmed for television so I recommend watching it.
It's not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change. Charles Darwin
