Soggy egg hunt

Only here could we be in the midst of the worst drought in local history, and at the same time be rained out for several hours on Sunday.

My neighbour had an Easter BBQ with an egg hunt for the kids. We waited to start the egg hunt as one of the littlest ones was napping, but by the time she woke up it had sorted raining and it poured for ages. We gave up waiting and decided the kids could hunt in the rain, with the little ones hunting under the shelter of the front porch. So a couple of us braved the rain and scattered tons of filled plastic eggs all around the grass and in the trees, while the kids were shut in the house, and then we sent them out in the mud and rain to hunt them...I think it was he best egg hunt they'd ever had :0)
