Happy (belated) Birthday Vicky

Back at work but an odd sort of a day.
I began with a visit to my lovely dentist which left me a lot poorer. I then took ages to get into Leeds and into meetings. I only made it to the office at 4.00. Then Andrea popped by with the wonderful news that she has passed her PhD with no corrections. I'm second supervisor but it has been a privilege working with her and first supervisor Dagmar. And I've learned a lot about the potential impact of European Competition Law on the conduct of research in Higher Education.
Finally at home time Vicky called in and she seems to love her china tea set. Very sweet. The tea set and Vicky.
