Admiration

The sparrow pauses
Flitting in and out
Of shrubs and roses
To admire
The outlandish tulip.

I discovered a quaint shop with a tiny courtyard garden that was full of the sound and flight of sparrows and had some stunning tulips. A collared dove was nesting behind one of its security lights. It was just lovely. We don't get that many sparrows in our garden so I'm always delighted to see them.
