Snowstorm over the Pentlands
A lady of advancing years and living a quiet contemplative life can almost have too much socialising in a day.
His Lordship and I were invited to an informal lunch in Roslin to celebrate the coming of age (50!) of 2 fellow cyclists. When we got there and his Lordship discovered a gathering of 14 women with not one bloke in sight he scarpered and never returned. Two men appeared later but by this time his Lordship was lost in Roslin's snowy hinterland.
The meal was a lively affair, but I had to leave before I could get my spoon into the dessert in order to arrive in time for the Christmas meet of the Edinburgh blippers.
It is always interesting to put faces to blipnames. Although I had met some of them before at the Mosque lunches, I met some new people, namely Postie, Trabroun, Phoenix,Sean, and 77 besides Scobes, Red, SooB, Wingpig, MAIT , Joe (and Bella), 42 and of course Magpie who accompanied me.
Again I had to leave early to be home in time for the visit of daughter #2 who is staying the night. We are going to get a carryout and open a bottle of wine.
My tiny mind is whirling with all this unaccustomed socialising and chat.
I bet it takes me ages to get to sleep tonight!
