The biggest barbecue EVER!
Today we did a lot - walked to see some waterfalls, visited some beautiful lake where the water is a bright turquoise colour because of minerals in the rocks and went to an artisan town called Raquira where I bought a travel purse, with a separate pocket for my cards (Mum will be proud!!) In the middle of all of this, we stopped for lunch at a village called Sutámarchan, which is famous for a very long type of sausage called Longaniza. (I'm trying to limit how many of my photos on here are of food, but this was so good it had to be my photo of the day!) They had a huge bbq where they cooked all sorts of meat alongside these sausages, and we shared two huge meat platters between the 8 of us. There were pork ribs, longaniza sausage, a black pudding type of sausage, grilled pork, grilled beef, potatoes, plantain and boyacan arepas. So delicious!
