Birthday Meal

Meles , m'n zoetje, had her birthday today.
Many good friends came to our flat, and ate cake and drank wine and celebrated with us.

Then we went out to a restaurant, as you see here, and ate too much fine Indian food.

Blippers involved in the photo are Meles, Parsfan and Jim Happy Again, and a ginormous Christmas camel.

When we got home after the restaurant, we discovered that one of the small children of our friends had ripped us off and stolen something from us that we had kept for over ten years. Now we go to bed feeling besmirched. A bloody awful end to a great day. It won't have mattered much to the kid, they just saw something shiny that they thought they should have, but they knew it was wrong because they deliberately hid the evidence (not very cleverly, because of their age). Damn.
It will be very difficult to decide whether to confront the parents (all lovely sweet people, who will be horrified by the behaviour of the kids) or just to let it go.

My stomach's in a knot, and I know that Meles feels the same way too.
What should we do?
