Sunderland Flying Boat

This Sunderland flying boat is on the gate at the start of the Ganavan to Dumbeg section of the Oban to Fort William Cycle Route.

During WW2 RAF Costal Command operated Sunderland, Catalina and Lerwick flying boats from RAF Oban.

Just out of site of this pic is the slipway of the flying boat maintenance unit, that was at Ganavan.
