Easter Egg Trails
Another early wake up for me today - 5.30am. So I got up and hid lots of chocolate eggs in the garden for Ethan. By 2 hours later, Ethan had woken up and found all the eggs!
Along with hubbie, we went up to Beecraigs to support Ethan's wee pal Lucinda who was running a 2k race. I'd wanted to do it too, along with a 5k or 10k, but ruled it out due to being only a few days after our return from holiday, as I wasn't sure if we'd be too tired. Ethan said last night that he wanted to do the race so I was going to just register this morning but he then changed his mind again. So we just cheered on Lucinda and her parents and Ethan played at the playpark.
Hubbie then dropped us off at the Foreveryoungs and went home. Ethan and I went with the Foreveryoungs to the David Livingstone Centre for an Easter Egg hunt. It was great fun. We had to follow lots of clues and take part in activities, such as "crossing the crocodile infested swamp", find animal clues along the woodside walk, plant seeds, learn to play drums and a bamboo rain stick, getting their "passports" stamped along the way. It helped that it was another nice day weather wise, but the kids really enjoyed their time there. They also spent ages in the playpark afterwards!
Back home and Ethan and hubbie have been playing lots of board games together before bedtime. I think it will be another early night for all of us, as we're all worn out!
