Monarch of the Glen...

A special day today... our wedding anniversary!

Spent it relaxing on Arran, as we have done on so many previous years...

Had our morning swim then headed out for lunch, leaving ES and GraceN to study then do their own thing. After a lovely lunch drove up to Lochranza where I spotted a number of beautiful deer. There are very often deer around the castle, and it is lovely to get the chance to see them relatively close. The castle had been left open today, so went in and had a wander around.

In the evening had a lovely dinner in Brambles with ES and GraceN.

Could have chosen one of the castle shots, or a close up of a basking seal, but in the end I decided upon this shot. It captures the memory of a really nice trip to Lochranza ...
