taking in the view...slowly

You think we would know better - wouldn't you? Years living near a tourist honey spot and you should know one thing - sunny weather and a holiday weekend - just don't mix! I guess they mix fine if you are actually on your holiday - BUT if you live here and you plan to travel in that area to actually do something - just don't! Still a 2 hour very slow drive through the heart of the Lakes (when the same trip usually takes 30 mins) to pick-up your child - is certainly one way to take in the, admittedly spectacular, view.

Not that this is image is from anything along the way but instead while we were waiting in a lay away (now in the Yorkshire Dales) for a pick up of more children!

Early night for us...not only is it the excitement of Easter tomorrow but it is Sienna's 7th birthday - oh my giddy aunt!
