Project cake

Today was my friend Jen's 40th birthday party, a very civilised affair where everyone made some food. There was a feast, amazing food all washed down with plenty of bubbly. Somehow I 'volunteered' to make a cake, which turned into all these cakes, which became the birthday cake. The top main one is chocolate and cherry, then there are rosewater cupcakes (the icing was supposed to be whipped but it all collapsed! Still tasted good), and finally raspberry cupcakes with raspberry jam inside.

This is the reason my blip was so late last night, and the reason I'm not still at the party. I'm shattered, have consumed far too much icing and I have sustained a whisking injury! (I did stay for the first 5 hours!)
