Crazy bunny-girl in an Easter bonnet. That's Katie today. She's loved it. She has been very excited about the nursery Easter fun day. She spent a lot of time carefully making her bonnet. She had a sweet new outfit (combination mummy and other handmaiden pretties). She had new fluffy bunny ears. However, she broke her little heart when I walked out the door. I went back in to her and stayed until she settled. It was most bizarre.
When I got back, they were having snack time al fresco, picnic style. I had just missed her Easter bonnet parade. Which Monkey joined in with. They've done it all, egg hunting, Easter baking, the parade, Easter cards.
She had a reasonably good swim lesson today, but was messing around quite a bit while she waited for her turns. Her little partner in crime was back to class today and they were a wee bit giddy. She enjoyed it though and grinned the entire time. We popped to the shop afterwards and got a taxi home from there as we had decided we were going to make chocolate Easter nests for her friends & staff for tomorrow as its the last day before Easter- morning for her, as her very dear friend is visiting. And bringing her 10day old baby brother for portraits!
In other news, after a reasonably sleepless night, and what felt like forever waiting, the email with school place notifications arrived at 8.35. I had been refreshing my inbox since pretty much 3.30 am - it felt a very long time! Anyway, the good news is that she got a place at the school we visited in December. I told her today and she cycled along singing a very sweet song about how excited she was.
