Blue rain

A busy day of writing car reviews, booking test cars and planning photoshoots for head-to-head twin tests for a magazine, researching photo archives and descending a long to-do list of other stuff. Also took a break for lunch with an old chum and her sprightly 94-year-old mother, who is a great conversationalist with a sharp sense of humour. She used to be a schools inspector, so had some views on the Trojan Horse investigation in Birmingham.

Took an eye-break from the computer late this afternoon and wandered outside in the 'golden hour' as the sun was sinking. The light through the wisteria cast beautiful patterns. Originally from Japan and China, the blue rain climber has become such a traditional favourite here, and how lovely it looks in full spring bloom on so many English houses, ours included.
