Picnic Pals

The gang headed off to East Linton today and had a picnic by the river. This was their number 1 choice - although I did check the pub first (no food 2-6pm) they weren't at all disappointed. Knowes Farm on the way had run out of yesterday's bread to feed the chickens but they didn't really mind that either. We rode along the newly-designated John Muir Way which is of course well established paths we've used for many years.

We picked up some quality veg from Knowes and award-winning beef sausages from the Linton Butcher so dinner was an easy decision!

Camera chat: This was taken on my new cheapo Samsung WB250F which has the killer feature of built-in WiFi. So you can use your phone as a remote with the camera's view displayed on the phone. First thing we did was mount it on a tripod next to the bird feeder and Gordon sat patiently until a sparrow sat right in the centre of the view and he snapped off a cracker. That's a trick I'm sure I'll be using more in future.
